Installing TX Auto Alert on Mac OS using PlayOnMac

For students running Mac OS who installed MetaTrader 4 via PlayOnMac, installing TX Auto Alert can be easily done through the below steps.

Installing TX Auto Alert via PlayOnMac

(Updated 6 Feb 2014 – To include difference between MT4 Build 509 & 600)

 

1.) Ensure that MetaTrader 4 is not running. Select the MetaTrader 4 application and Right Click. Select Open the application directory.

2.) Navigate to the Indicators folder. Refer to the instructions corresponding with your MT4 Build.

To find out your MT4 Build. Run MT4 –>  Click on Help –> About. (*note remember to close MT4  before continuing.)

2a.) For MT4 Build 509 and below. Navigate to the experts\indicators folder

Copy the file +++ TX Auto Alert +++.ex4 into the experts\indicators folder

Copy the TX Auto Alert file into the expert/indicators folder

Copy the TX Auto Alert file into the expert\indicators folder

Navigate up a level to the experts\libraries folder

Navigate to the experts\libraries folder

Navigate to the experts\libraries folder

Copy the file TXACORE.DLL into the experts\libraries folder

Copy the TX DLL file into the expert/libraries folder

Copy the TX DLL file into the expert/libraries folder

Once done, continue to step 3 below.

2b.) For MT4 Build 600 and above. Navigate to MQL4\Indicators folder

Navigate to MQL4\Indicators folder

Navigate to MQL4\Indicators folder

Copy the file +++ TX Auto Alert +++.ex4 into the MQL4\Indicators folder

Copy the TX Auto Alert file into the MQL4\Indicators folder

Copy the TX Auto Alert file into the MQL4\Indicators folder

Navigate up a level to the MQL4\Libraries folder

Navigate up a level to the MQL4\Libraries folder

Navigate up a level to the MQL4\Libraries folder

Copy the file TXACORE.DLL into the  MQL4\Libraries folder

Copy the file TXACORE.DLL into the  MQL4\Libraries folder

Copy the file TXACORE.DLL into the MQL4\Libraries folder

 

3.) Run MetaTrader 4 and drag the TX Auto Alert indicator into the charts. *Remember to allow DLL in the input tab*

    hi, I was informed via twitter that TX has been upgraded but I haven’t received the files via email.

      Hi Jacky, not sure which twitter msg you’re referring to but we have yet to release any new versions as of this moment though there are plans to do so. Look out for twitter and your email in the near future for official communication on this.

        It twitted on 4 Dec at 11.15 :”@terraseeds: We will announce link to updated tx version via twitter, email, blog next wk. After receipt, backup your email.”. The new version should be sent from last week .so it is postponed ?
